Creating a Document Type WBT Course

Document type courses allow PDFs or other filetypes to be packaged, launched, tracked, and reported on as a web-based training course. Document type courses are typically used in certifications or curricula to attach additional training materials

On the Admin menu, select Training > Manage Courses. 

On the Manage Courses screen, select the New Course button in the upper right-hand corner. 

On the New Course Options screen, select Document Course. 

The Upload Course Files/Package screen appears. Select Create a new course root directory and Enter the new course root option appears. Enter a folder name in the field and select the Continue button. 

 

The Upload Course screen appears. Select the Browse button and select the document to upload. The file appears with a progress bar. Select the Upload button. 

A notification indicates the file has been successfully uploaded. Select the Create New Course button. 

The Course Properties screen appears. Enter the Course Name and any other appropriate information.  Select the Save button. 

 

A notification appears indicating Your data has been saved along with the Publish button. Select Publish to publish the document course to a catalog.
