An explanation of Tabular Reports and Reporting Dashboards
Performance supports a wide array of reporting options to allow managers and administrators to access the data they need to manage the performance and participation of learners. A large library of both spreadsheet-style reports and chart-style dashboards are available and support filtering, drilldowns, and automated delivery.
Performance provides two styles of reporting options, Tabular Reports and Reporting Dashboards. Where the reports are located can differ depending on your setup, but they are typically accessible from either the main menu, or a reporting console.
Tabular Reporting
Performance provides a wide variety of configuration options for reports. The fields and filters will differ depending on the report type, but the process is the same for the vast majority of available tabular reports. All have fields, filter, sorting, and run options.
Reporting Dashboards
Performance provides a number of reporting chart-style dashboards. These dashboards have multiple filter options, and each element can be drilled down to get raw data and numbers in spreadsheet format. There are various types of dashboards with different filter types, but the general functionality remains the same across all Reporting Dashboards; charts with selectable sections and filters.
