It may be required to send info to the class roster outside of the automated system notifications. Use this tool to send custom messages to one or more learners on the roster.
Using the instructions found under Editing an ILT Class, navigate to the Class Properties page of the class you wish to edit.
The Class Properties window appears. On the menu in the upper-right corner, using the Edit Class button, select Contact Students.
The Class Contacts window appears. The Contact Roster box displays the list of registered students for this class. To contact students on the waitlist, select the Contact Waitlist tab.
To send a message to a student, in the Student Roster list, select the checkbox for that student. Use the Check All/Uncheck All boxes to select all students. Use the CC box to copy other people on the message.
If desired, you can select an Email Template from the Template list. Select the appropriate template, and then select Apply. The Subject and Body boxes automatically fill in with the content for the message, including field names for the data that will be automatically retrieved from the database. A template is not required; any custom message can be added to the Body field.
Select the Include Class Attachments check box to include the public assets associated with the class and the location.
Select the Send button to send the email. Some users may not receive the email. Depending on the user’s security settings, their email service may detect that the email message has been generated by an application and may interpret it as spam. Recommend that students check their deleted or junk mail folders.
