Users, Job Roles, Organizations, System Roles, and Catalogs can all be mapped to an Audience Type.
Available Audience Type Mappings:
- Users are mapped to an Audience Type to add individual users to the Audience Type.
- Job Roles are mapped to an Audience Type to make all users with that Job Role members of the Audience Type.
- Organizations are mapped to an Audience Type to make all members of that Organization members of the Audience Type.
- System Roles are mapped to an Audience Type to make all users with that System Role members of the Audience Type.
- Catalogs are mapped to the Audience Type to give Audience Type members access to the training content contained within the Catalog(s).
To map items to an Audience Type:
On the Admin menu, select User Groups > Manage Audience Types.
The Audience Type List screen appears. Select the dropdown menu on the View button and select Mapping.
The Audience Type Membership Administration screen appears. Use the Type dropdown to select User, Organization, Job, Catalog, or System Role. The process is the same for each object, although mapping a User, Organization, Job, or System Role will add those users or groups to the Audience Type. Mapping a Catalog to the Audience Type will allow the members of the Audience Type access to the training content within the Catalog. Select the Get Items button.
The search results appear in the left column. Select it and use the >> button to move the selected object to the Items assigned to column.
The object is moved to the column on the right, Items assigned to. Select the Submit button.
The item is now mapped to the audience type. Select the Return button to return to the Audience Type list.
