Users can manage multiple organizations and the platform allows for the option for a complex organizational hierarchy.
For example, there may be a country at the top level, within that country, regions, then states or provinces, cities, down to individual locations.
There can be a manager or managers at every level with reporting and functionality that rolls up, allowing high level managers to report on any or all organizations that fall under their management.
To assign a Managed Organization:
Navigate to the user’s profile and on the Affiliations tab, select Managed Organizations.
The Manager Membership Administration screen appears. Use the Sub-Type dropdown and Keyword search field to narrow the search. Select the Get Items button.
Organizations the user already manages appear on the right under Items assigned to:. Search results appear on the left under Organizations.
Select the Organization from the list on the left to highlight it. Use the >> button to move it to the Items assigned to box.
With the organization added to Items assigned to and highlighted, select the Allow Inheritance button to allow the manager to manage any organizations that fall under this one. Note the Inheritance allowed notice below. Then select the Submit button.
There is a notification indicating that Your data has been saved. Select the Return button to return to the user profile screen.
