Scorecard Overview

What is a Scorecard?

Scorecard Templates

There are two default Scorecard templates:

  1. Manager Evaluation: This template is designed for managers to provide evaluation feedback to employees on various topics. It allows managers to assess performance, provide constructive feedback, and identify areas for improvement.

  2. Skills Tracking: This template is used by employees to demonstrate their competency in different areas. Employees can showcase their skills and knowledge, while managers review and score each item to validate the employee's proficiency.

Scorecard Structure

Scorecards are composed of three main components:

  1. Scorecard: This is the overall framework that encompasses the evaluation or skills tracking process. It contains the categories and items to be assessed.

  2. Scorecard Categories: These are the broad areas or topics that the Scorecard will cover. Categories help organize the evaluation or skills tracking process into manageable sections. For example, categories in a Manager Evaluation Scorecard might include "Communication Skills," "Teamwork," or "Problem-Solving."

  3. Scorecard Items: These are the specific criteria or questions within each category that need to be evaluated. Each item represents a particular aspect of performance or skill that the manager or employee needs to address. For instance, under the "Communication Skills" category, items might include "Clarity of Communication" and "Active Listening."

Creating and Associating Scorecards

  1. Creating the Scorecard: The first step is to create the Scorecard itself, selecting the appropriate template (Manager Evaluation or Skills Tracking), and setting up the categories and items to be evaluated.

  2. Associating with a Course: Once the Scorecard is created, it needs to be linked to a specific course.
