      How to Upload PowerPoint files to Tortal

      Tortal Supports using PowerPoint as Learning Objects in 2 ways. Read the Article below for details.

      Tortal can import PowerPoint presentations ( .ppt, .pptx) and allow them to become reportable content objects on the to track User interaction.  However, the type of elements your PowerPoint contains will determine the method you use to use to upload them to the Tortal LMS. 

      How to Choose the Best Upload method: 

      If your PowerPoint must use Video, Audio, or Animation elements: 

      • Upload a PowerPoint as a Video Learning Object

      If you PowerPoint uses standard text, images, and links - see: 

      • Upload a PowerPoint as a Document Learning Object 


      Upload PowerPoint Presentations as a Document Learning Object.

       

      1. In the Navbar, Click on "Admin" Then "Learning Objects"

      2. Click on Learning Objects

      Click on Learning Objects

      3. Click on "Upload Edit Files" to access the Document Learning Objects Menu.

      4. Please note the restrictions on file sizes and document types.

      5. To Create a New Document Learning Object, Click on "Upload Files"

      6. Select your PPT files from your local storage, and click "Upload"

      7. Give your new Learning Object a Name, and Description, Click Save to finish.

      8. Your new Document Learning Object is now shown in the List.

      9. To add it to a Course, click the "Add to Course" Link.

      10. Select a Course to add this Learning Object to, and click "Save"

      11. To view the PowerPoint, Click the Title

      12. The PowerPoint will be shown in a popup viewer.

      This is the exact same view your Users will have when reviewing this Document Learning Object
